Secondary classes
In our Secondary Classes, we are dedicated to fostering a love of learning and encouraging our students to reach their full potential. With a focus on individualized attention, we offer small class sizes with a maximum of 12 children that allow for personalized instruction and meaningful interactions. This approach enables us to truly understand the unique needs, strengths, and aspirations of each student.
Our committed team of Learning facilitators and teachers is passionate about learning and deeply invested in the academic and personal growth of our students. They create engaging lessons and employ innovative teaching methods that inspire collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and a thirst for knowledge. By nurturing intellectual curiosity and encouraging independent thought, we empower our students to become confident and well-rounded individuals.
At the Hawthorn Small School, we prioritize the holistic development of our students. We provide a supportive and inclusive community where every student feels valued, respected, and safe. Our pastoral team is readily available to provide guidance and support, ensuring that students’ well-being remains at the forefront of our educational approach.
Additionally, we believe in the importance of fostering a sense of social responsibility and global awareness. Through our curriculum and extracurricular activities, we encourage our students to become active and engaged citizens who understand and appreciate the world around them.
With a friendly and trustworthy approach, we are committed to providing a high-quality education where each student’s journey is celebrated and nurtured and one which prepares our students for a successful future.
The presence of a full time learning facilitator in each secondary class ensures that children have a consistent, trusted adult within the class who is able to act both as their supporter and advocate should they require support to express their needs.
